We did do more than eat this weekend, we finally got the Jimmy out to the desert. I'm happy to report the truck handled like a champ. All of Frank's hardwork was worthwhile and well done. On Sunday, we met up with Vegas Valley Four Wheelers to do Tie Rod Canyon. It was a great trail, it offered a few great obstacles and bypasses for those not fully equipped. The trailhead is near Rainbow and Blue Diamond, it's by a trail Frank and I have taken to Sloan. Tie Rod lets you out at the same place, but it takes a different, more challenging and more fun route.
We had seven rigs on this run. It was a great time!
Heading to Tie Rod Canyon
We aired down, pulled out the sway bar pins, and we were ready to roll.
This Rubicon was driven (mostly) by a kid who was no more than 12, his grandfather talked him through every move. This was his first time behind the wheel. He got stuck on the first obstacle, but overall he did really well.
He got out easily with a tow

Video of frank climbing rocks
Hard to believe that this is the way
This is where we were on three wheels
I was surprised that this truck made it
The kid watching his grandfather get over a tough spot.
Just a little tight around the bend
When you go up, you must come down
Back on the trail
We made it!
