Thanks a Latte

December 13, 2018

Hey all! I really thought I'd be back with some regularity after the summer, but life had other plans. As it turned out I only had access to a PC at work. The one at home fizzled out ages ago, and I'd occasionally use Frank's laptop, but now that he travels majority of the time it goes on the road with him. Construction is booming so it leaves me little time to tinker with side projects. However, I finally bit the bullet and joined the world of on the go computing. I bought myself a Surface Go. This should put an end to the excuses.

I have pretty much the whole year to highlight so there is no shortage of adventures and tidbits to share. If you've stuck with me despite the crickets, thank you! I mean that from the bottom of my heart. And if you're new around here, welcome! Let's clear the cobwebs and get back to it.

Summer Hiatus

How are things? Phew. Tell me, how are we IN October? It is doubtful the end of the chaos is in sight. So, let's jump right in and get back to it. Shall we?!

The Knights return to the Fortress tonight for their second season. I am stoked. We have also locked up our PSLs for the Raiders. Construction of the stadium is full speed ahead, but they have a ways to go before they reach our seats. We are thrilled to live near the training facility and there is so much being built around us... Costco, baby!!

Frank has a new and exciting gig. My focus this year has been on self-care and I feel better than I have in ages. The family has celebrated many milestones and I couldn't be more proud.

Thank you!

What a “Wild” ride! We had a “Chance” and we proved we were the “Real Deal” when we released the “Fleury”. They might "Shea" it is “Reilly” “Schmidty” to be three wins shy of the cup, but we came with “Belles” on and we will never “Reave” you. We will “March” on and everyone “Nosek”. These “Gallant” knights “Tuch” my heart. I’m “Collin” you golden. “Haula” if you hear me. Go Knights Go!

I wasn't clever enough to include 3, 5, 21, 28, 40, 47, 57, 90 (and much love to 30, 33, 35 and 1 - couldn't have done it without you).

How long until the puck drops?! Get ready, McPhee and Foley... We are coming back for more #cupin2

Stanley Cup Final Game 4

June 7, 2018
for this away game, we reserved seats for the viewing party at the eclipse theater. It was our first time at this luxury theater. they showed the game on three screens. we were assigned to a theater and then we could choose from the open recliners. it was very comfortable - the sights and sounds were superb. plus, they have a great food and beverage menu, and the prices are pretty reasonable. i wouldn't hesitate to catch a movie there in the future.

we got comfy cozy, ordered the jupiter mule ($14) which was like a moscow mule, but with blackberry jam and a margarita ($12) and awaited the puck to drop. we had a great time despite the loss. Their delicious margaritas helped to soften the blow. we also loved the buffalo cauliflower ($10). so much so, we ordered two. it was like eating super tender boneless buffalo wings.

tonight, we'll be in the fortress for game 5. go knights go! vgk - all the way!

Pinch me, and tell me it's not all a dream.

For months, I've talked about how amazing a victory parade down the Las Vegas Strip would be. And, now, it could be a very real possibility. Four to go! Unreal. What a fantastic ride this has been. I'm so grateful to be part of this history. Game after game has been astonishing. It hasn't been luck or the Vegas flu. These men are faster, skilled and hungry - they are warriors. I've never seen teamwork on this level. They have earned their place - it's time to give credit where credit is due. Vegas Golden Knights are Western Conference Champions. That's right, in our inaugural season. Watch out, we are coming for the Cup! Go Knights Go!!!!
