Breaking Bad in Albuquirky II

The next day we made a run to Rebel Donuts. They are known for making the Blue Sky donut. It's cotton candy flavored and topped with rock candy used on the show.

It was FAR TOO sweet for my liking, but their Dosant was yummy. It was my first experience with a Croisannt Donut. My favorite though was the Chocolate Chile Bacon donut. It was perfect. And this is coming from the girl who doesn't like donuts.

High on meth sugar, we were ready for our tour to continue. Our first stop?

Across the street is Taco Sal, used in a few scenes.

Then, we rode out toward the Sandia Mountains to check out the tram, but we had one stop on the way.

The Sandia Peak Tramway has a base elevation of 6,559 ft. A trip up the mountain takes fifteen minutes to ascend to the top elevation of 10,378 ft at 12 miles per hour. With only two support towers, it is the world's third longest single span tram and it is North America's longest aerial tram. It offers stunning views

At the top there a ski area, hiking access and the High Finance Resturant. Breaking Bad filmed from the restaurant too. We went inside to warm up and enjoy a beer at 10,378 ft.

After our time, on the mountain, we went to one of the locations we ended up being most excited about...

Our ride never came, so we couldn't disappear. So, we decided to continue on.

The Dog House - used in a number of montages/scenes. Home of the best Frito Pie!

On our final day, we went by Denny's. I wanted to buy an M60 order breakfast with extra bacon just to make my very own 52, but I couldn't bring myself to actually eat there. An exterior shot will have to do.

We saw nearly everything. We missed the vacuum spot and the laundry facility that served at the meth lab. My phone signal when kaput. Jack's compound, Junior's HS and the train tracks were far out so planned to miss those. I think we had it pretty well covered. One thing's for sure, we definitely saw Albuquerque.

I'll never get over the blue skies out west...beautiful. Those donuts have me drooooooooooooling. I've never seen an episode of BB, so I can't relate to some of the pics.

Thanks for sharing ... great shots as usual!
