Celebrating the 4th

I think everyone is geared up for the holiday weekend, myself included. I'm completely due for a three-day weekend and it's a fun time at our house. The Fourth of July is Frank's favorite holiday. We planned to host a bash, but there is no such thing as holidays in the casino business, especially during WSOP. It seems most everyone will be working this Sunday. Instead, we have a small get together. Swimming, BBQ and fireworks, you can't go wrong there. I know Frank will have the time of his life. He has all sorts of mortars and shells, plus a few saturn missles. I'll sit back and enjoy the show.

Tonight we'll kick off the holiday weekend with dinner at Firefly. I've been craving bacon wrapped dates, artichokes toasts and stuffed mushrooms like mad. Sangria also sounds wonderful. We'll stay downtown for Highway to Hell an AC/DC cover band and fireworks at Golden Nugget. It ought to be a good time.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!

Here's some reading material to pass the time, because I know none us of are interested in doing work today. Vegas Values: A Frugal Find.
